The meeting was called to order by Ken Reindel at approximately 7:07 P.M., with the first agenda item being a review of Colorado’s pandemic. Last month trends were in a downward projection; however, March has seen a reversal in this trend, a negative signal for resuming face-to-face meetings soon. Cases are on the rise across a dozen states, up 10% and many states are re-opened” despite CDC warnings. The excellent news is vaccinations are approaching three times the total of one month ago, and there is broad agreement about the effectiveness against variants. The pandemic isn’t over, but there is an end in sight.
Pandemic aside, the plans for the Chapter 21 Regional event are moving forward. Terry Jones reported that he and Dave Fornof had confirmed the July 31 and August 1 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. Download the registration form at:

Now is the time to make hotel reservations for America’s Biggest Watch and Clock Show. NAWCC’s annual meeting is back and will be held July 15-18 in Hampton, Virginia. The convention hotel is the Embassy Suites by Hilton 800-362-2779 booking code “WAC” for the best rate. https://natcon.nawcc.org/2021/
The board has authorized an increase in the dues structure to take place in June 2021. A detailed explanation is found at www.nawcc.org. It explains the typical dues will be approximately $16-$20 higher than last year, depending on a digital or hard copy of the Mart & Highlights magazine.
It is time to pay your Chapter 21 dues. The Chapter annual dues are $10.00, a sweet deal by any measure. Such a deal, we encourage members to add $10.00 or more for the Margene Oswald Scholarship Fund supporting students and horology. The donation to the scholarship fund is completely voluntary. Send payment to:
